May 18th Alma Vale Centre 10am – 12:30pm

I am now running a preconception care class for couples to teach the importance of implementing a preconception care programme at least three months prior to conception. My class will run through the basics of health and wellbeing considerations that need to addressed before trying to conceive or preparing for IVF treatment.

Wherever you are on your fertility journey this workshop will address your needs and concerns providing you with practical advice and tips on how you can support your emotional and physical health in preparation for creating your baby.

Not enough is being taught on the importance of following a preconception programme to ensure both the parents are in optimal health for pregnancy and also for the health of the baby.

More and more research into preconception is revealing how important it is that BOTH the future mother and father are taking care of their health and wellbeing prior to conception and how choices can impact on the baby.

The life cycle of a sperm cell is approximately three months, the female egg matures ready for release in around about the same time. Therefore lifestyle choices and habits should be implemented at least three months prior to trying for a baby.

For some, trying to conceive or being on a long fertility journey can be extremely stressful and I will also provide information on how you can support yourself and each other during these times and beyond.

My workshop will aim to be informative, engaging and light hearted offering advice, tips and suggestions on how to plan and prepare yourselves ready to create a baby and become parents either naturally or through assisted conception.

Tickets are £65 per couple.
