Male Fertility Support

Reproductive Reflexology for Men

Male Fertility or Male factor (in)fertility can be improved with the help of regular reflexology sessions. Stress, along with other lifestyle and diet factors, can impact the body’s ability to manufacture good quality sperm, necessary for creating healthy offspring and preventing miscarriage.

Struggles conceiving, due to male-factor problems, are considered to be around 40–50% and around 2% of all men have suboptimal sperm parameters: low sperm concentration, poor sperm motility, abnormal morphology, DNA fragmentation.

Couples, with border line or poor-quality sperm results, are generally offered ICSI treatment without any advice or suggestions on ways to improve results. The importance of looking after male health and wellbeing is often side-lined as unnecessary due to the centrifugation process, where the strongest swimmers are selected for ICSI.

It can feel like there is little incentive to improve the quality of sperm, when in fact, you can help reduce the risk of miscarriage and affect the future health of your child. In addition, it could help save money, by improving the chances of unassisted or assisted conception methods such as IUI and IVF / ICSI.

Over the years, male fertility has decreased across the globe, factors such as stress, lifestyle and the modern diet, as well as environmental factors are all to blame. Furthermore, there is still the outdated belief that male fertility does not decline with age, when in fact, DNA fragmentation can increase as men get older – a contributing factor for potential miscarriage.

Along with the importance of ensuring a healthy body and mind to become a father, the sperm cell is another extremely important ingredient carrying half of all the chromosomes required to create a baby. The sperm development cycle is around 90 days, and men have a wonderful opportunity to use this time to make necessary adjustments to improve their overall health and wellbeing in order to maximize a successful outcome.

I would recommend working with Victoria in a heartbeat and I am happy to encourage couples with fertility issues as this journey is a joint effort.

If more men are prepared to look after themselves better the benefits at the end are boundless and anyone fortunate enough to work with Victoria is guaranteed to be guided by a caring soul, full of wisdom and love.

I don’t think that we could have asked for a better mentor to guide us on this journey.

The Male Reproductive Reflexology Protocol is structured weekly for six weeks and then fortnightly sessions thereafter and is designed to help improve reproductive and general wellbeing and stress management.

It is advisable to have an up to date sperm test before starting the protocol and then three months after to monitor improvement.

Reproductive reflexology is targeted and uses specific protocols that aim to:

  1. Prepare the body and mind for unassisted and assisted conception
  2. Support and improve sperm results including DNA Fragmentation
  3. Reduce stress and anxiety associated with trying to conceive, fertility treatment, loss and work
  4. Support men struggling with the emotional impact and isolation of infertility
  5. Help you to feel supported during a time when you may feel that you must be strong for your partner

The very first treatment involves a thorough consultation with both you and your partner.  This is a wonderful opportunity for you both to share your experience, to listen to one another and to be heard. For many couples, this session is very powerful, especially if over time it has become more and more difficult to talk to each other about fertility issues. Reconnecting, opening up dialogue and facilitating discussion is so important. You will both have different experiences, feelings and perspectives on trying to conceive and it is important to be able to voice them in a safe space without judgement.

I explore your journey, take note of your physical and emotional health and identify key areas which could be tweaked and improved upon. I may offer some health and lifestyle advice, helping to empower you to feel more positively in control moving forward.

With all the information gathered, I can formulate a couples or individual fertility programme that will take into account any underlying conditions and needs.

Reproductive reflexology sessions work in harmony alongside fertility coaching and other therapies. They can also be used in preparation for, and throughout, fertility treatment.

Please get in touch for an informal, confidential chat if you would like to find out whether reproductive reflexology may be of benefit to you.
